Return & Refund policy

Thank you for shopping at Marinarodrigues.de. We take pride in the originality and quality of our artwork. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and obligations regarding returns, cancellations, and refunds.

1. Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)

Ready-Made Artworks (Originals & Prints)

If you are a consumer (not a business) and purchase a ready-made artwork (such as original paintings, drawings, or prints) via our website, you have the legal right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of delivery without giving any reason, as per § 355 BGB (German Civil Code) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

To exercise this right:

• Please contact us via email at info@marinarodrigues.de within 14 days of receiving the item.

• You must return the artwork in its original condition and packaging.

• You are responsible for return shipping costs.

• A refund (including the original shipping fee) will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item or proof of return.

Important: We reserve the right to reduce your refund if the artwork is returned damaged due to improper handling.

2. Exclusions from the Right of Withdrawal

Commissioned or Custom Artworks

Please note that the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to commissions or artworks that are made to order, personalized, or created according to your specifications, as stated in § 312g (2) No. 1 BGB.

Once Marina has begun work on a commissioned piece - which is reviewed by the customer in stages- cancellation is no longer possible, and all payments are final unless the artwork is found to be defective.

3. Damaged or Defective Items

If your artwork arrives damaged or significantly different from what was described, please notify us within 7 days of delivery. Include clear photos of the damage or discrepancy. If the claim is approved, we will offer:

• A replacement (if possible)

• A full or partial refund

• Or repair of the work, depending on the situation

Note: We make every effort to photograph and present each artwork as accurately as possible. However, please be aware that colors may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings and device type (e.g. desktop vs. mobile). If color accuracy is important to you, we recommend viewing the artwork on multiple devices before making a purchase. You can also contact us and request more photos of any artwork.

Please note that minor variations in color, texture, or brushwork are natural in handmade art and not considered defects.

4. Refund Processing

• Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days.

• If the refund is delayed due to return shipping, we may wait until the item has been received or proof of shipment has been provided.
